This is easily one of my favorite go-to spots. It can be really hard in the area to find a craft beer store that is reasonably priced, so I was so happy to find this place. Their beers seem to rotate frequently enough and aren't as outlandishly priced as some of the other stores nearby. In terms of the food, I've only ever tried the chicken caesar salad wrap, which is strangely one of the best versions of this dish I've ever had and is so consistent every time I've been. The seating itself is great for the vibe, with good music and high-top seats including a window-facing option. They recently renovated so it's even crisper than it was last time. And the people at the counter are always a pleasure. Parking down the street is always so easy. Will continue to keep this on the rotation!
I was recently taken to the Local Eatery and Craft Beer to satisfy my smash burger craving. I overall had a great experience. The ambiance is relaxing with dim lighting and high chairs. The service was prompt and friendly. For my meal, I tried a bite of the truffle mushroom burger. It sounded good on the menu but fell short of expectations in terms of flavor. Instead, the double classic burger hit the mark. The onion rings were decent, though I've had better elsewhere. It would have been nice if they provided sauce for dipping. On the bright side, the fries were enjoyable. I see potential and see myself going back to try out more items from their menu. With some tweaks and improvements, I really think this spot could become a go-to spot for burger enthusiasts and craft beer aficionados alike. I recommend checking it out!
Was looking for a quick smash burger in the area and found this spot. Intimate and cozy, the place is dimly lit with good music playing. Service was top-notch. Since it's a small space, the server is also the cashier and bartender. But he did not disappoint and was keen to addressing all our needs. Food was good. Got the double classic with onion rings and truffle mushroom with fries. Double classic: 7.5/10 Truffle mushroom: 6.5/10 I was a bit dissapointed, felt that it could've been better Onion rings: 6/10 couldve been a better batter, and did not come with sauce ( i asked for chipotle mayo on the side) Overall would come here again, it's a good spot for a cheap burger and drinks.
A great spot in the Forest Hills area! I was craving a burger and I saw this on yelp and came by! They have a variety of different beers on tap and in the fridge. They have a good amount of seating if you want to order some food, they have a variety of different kinds of food to order from wings, burgers, sandwiches, appetizers, salad and more! The staff is super friendly and helpful! They also have TVs so you can watch a game while drinking a cold beer ! I definitely will be returning to try the wings!
I can't believe I've lived near this place for almost two years without visiting before. Craving a wrap and my boyfriend wanted a burger and a beer, so this spot was ideal. Upon entering, it gave off a cozy Hudson Valley vibe, reminiscent of a small brewery. The display showcased a variety of beers. Opting for hot honey wings, classic burger, and a chicken bacon ranch wrap, everything tasted sooo good and fresh. The wings were exceptional. We were told it's a new flavor and could easily be their best one. With reasonable prices and generous portions, it's a perfect spot for a great mid-day lunch.
Stopped by here twice within a week, because we enjoyed it so much the first time. It's a great space to come and have a beer and some food in a relaxed setting. On a weekday, for lunch, it was empty and on a Sunday late afternoon there were a few tables taken. They specialize in craft beer and there are lots of options. Draft beer available are located on the TV screed across from the refrigerators. The refrigerators are filled with tons of options by the can which you can enjoy there or buy to take home. Both the Nitro Stout and the Czech Style Dark Stout were great You can order at the counter, take a seat and everything will be brought to you along with a bottle of water. The food is quite good. The crispy chicken sandwich was piled high with crispy chicken. The Cheesy Bacon Tots, were so delicious, melty cheese, crispy tots and bacon with cherry peppers and garlic aioli..they totally hit the spot. The Chopped Cheese was good and enjoyable albeit a bit messy. The wings were meaty and had great flavor, but could have been crispier. The fries are excellent. Give me a beer and some of those fries and I'd be very happy. It's a great neighborhood place, that I wish I had visited sooner.
The Local Mkt got an upgrade in a major way and I'm so here for it!!! Now instead of a deli it's a full on eatery. I used to always get my chopped cheese sandwiches from here but now I go for the wings. They still have a large collection of beers but the menu has changed up a bit. They have wine on tap too. I highly recommend the mushroom truffle burger it's so cheesy and I'm just a fan of both items. Now if you are not a fan of either of those things , try another cheese burger or get into the wings!!! The lemon pepper wings here were the best I've had. They have weekly specials and are closed on Mondays. Definitely come out , watch a game, play some games (they have cards and board games available), grab a beer (or 3) and enjoy this chill Queens spot! Shout out to the team that works here! They work hard to get everyone their food out hot and quickly.
I'd rate The Local four and a half stars Great beer shop with some American bar fare. They have five taps; all were local craft beers. They have a large beer fridge with tons of cans. I didn't go through the inventory thoroughly but it seemed like those also focused on local and regional crafts. I didn't try any food but it looked good. Looking forward to returning for some grub.
Came in while in town for a couple of days and loved it! The restaurant is small but clean and has a nice vibe to it. Simple, industrial feel is a good description. The service was good, although it's not table service - you have to go to the bar to order food. Having said what - it's not a big deal. The guy at the bar was very nice and he quickly offered tasters if the beers they have on draft. Once you order, they do bring the meal out to your table. I sat inside but they also had 2 outside tables. The burger I had was AWESOME!! I can eat and the double mushroom Swiss burger was all I could handle along with the fries (the fries were good, not great). They only have a limited draft selection. It was only 4 beers the day I came in, but they had 5 large fridges with a huge variety of cans of all styles from all over. It might be small, but in my opinion - they delivered big. If I'm back this way; I'll be back.
They changed their license and look. Great beer on tap and in cans and bottles. Lots of local beers!!!! Wine by the glass as well and all the usual great food still available. Nice high top tables and great friendly service.
